He further specialized with a competitive fellowship in dermatologic laser surgery at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery (affiliated with Georgetown University Medical Center).
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Kovak holds a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Health Law from DePaul University College of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class—a rare multidisciplinary background that informs his nuanced approach to clinical ethics, safety, and regulatory best practices.
