Your Levulan PDT session begins with the application of the Levulan Kerastick topical solution to the targeted areas. The solution is absorbed by abnormal cells over a specified incubation period. Following this, the treated area is exposed to a blue light source, activating the solution and initiating the therapeutic process. The procedure is well-tolerated, with patients experiencing a mild tingling sensation during light exposure.
